Outfit by Blushop Clothing, Givenchy Antigona Bag from Reebonz, Hat from Lack of Color // Photos by Tito-licious

The Outfit
It's going to take a lot more than the rampant wind to steer me away from white crop tops and checkered skirts! I've been in a bit of a monochrome groove lately, mainly because black and white separates are so easy to mix and match but it can be quite hard to make a monochrome outfit POP on camera (and you know anniepop is all about the pop!) which is why shape and print is key. The asymmetric hem of the Blushop Checkered Skirt is a nice twist on a classic grid print. Team it with a cropped top or even a plain tee and you're ready for brunch ;) to see more affordable tops, bottoms and dresses make your way to Blushop Clothing by clicking here.

The Bag
I could never get sick of the Givenchy Antigona. If you're like me and you can't get this bag out of your mind, get your own by signing up to Reebonz or visiting their concept store in Sydney's CBD:

G1/570 George St,
Sydney NSW 2000

Also if you have a designer bag that you need to sell, sell it on Reebonz any time between now to the 20th of July and receive a lovely payout of 80%! Sign up here to find out more.

  3. Just wanted to let your know that after about 3 years of following your blog, I'm now unsubscribing. I've been with you since 2011 but seriously you're blog has turned into a series of advertisements. You use to be so real and relatable and now I feel as they you're using your readers purely and only to make money. You haven't posted without an agenda for I think a year now. No offence but you should have a little more respect for your readers rather than use us to get free clothes. But you seem like you're in a happy place and I truly wish you well. :)

    1. Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for the honest feedback. Although you have chosen to unsubscribe I do appreciate the previous years of support and I'm sorry that you're no longer able to relate to the material on this blog. I apologise to you and other readers if you feel that I've used this website purely as a platform to make money because that has never been my intention. As I started getting more and more interested in fashion and now that I'm working in fashion, I'm blogging with the purpose of sharing items of clothing that I love that are affordable and easily attainable to the every day girl. I do not promote or wear clothing that I don't like at the expense of my readers.

I do understand that my blog posts have become more impersonal which was partly a decision that I made based on certain events that have affected my personal life which have made me realise some things are better left private. Now that I'm working full time it has also become increasingly difficult to put together DIY tasks and holiday posts like I used to but I will do my best to bring some of that spark back (and some of my social life back!) to make this a more enjoyable place.

I take all feedback seriously and will always work on improving myself, thank you for the candour! :)

    2. I'm not the same Anon that posted that first comment but I think its really great that you're actually reading your comments and listening to your fans.

I agree with Anon in a few ways. I liked seeing your old makeup reviews and DIY stuff but I get that you're really busy and might be more into fashion than makeup now but thats the only thing really. I still follow you because of your beautiful pics and the outfits you wear inspires me but I miss those old posts too!! You should also do videos again :)

    3. I also agree. I've been a reader since your livejournal days and I've really enjoyed watching you grow up. And the whole direction you're taking isn't really sitting well with me either. For me, it's not so much removing the more personal details about your romantic relationships out of your life. That's completely understandable.

You just seemed to put more effort into your posts before. You use to post about makeup, your monthly hauls, etc. Every outfit post use to come with like a little back story about where you wore the outfit or why you bought a particular piece of clothing. Now it is seriously like an impersonal advertisement.

I mean this post and the ones you've been posting so far have all been exactly the same.

Outfit: I like this outfit because ____, You can buy it here ______.
Bag: I like this bag because ____, You can buy it here ______.

So yeah I 100% agree about the blog solely being an advertisement. Before it felt like you blogged and interacted with readers because you enjoyed it. Now, its a purely commercial and transactional thing. I highly doubt you would still blog if you didn't get comped clothes out of it.

A lot of bloggers out there strike a balance between too personal and shameless advertisement.

I hope you do too before you start losing all your readers.
