A day on the balcony

It's a bit upsetting really, wasting such a fine day indoors...which probably explains the look of misery on my face. I'm sitting here holding a pen in one hand and smacking my forehead with the other for some bright ideas so I figured I needed a breather.

There didn't seem to be enough light on my balcony this morning for better photos but this is probably the first time I've made one consecutive post after the other so I can't say the effort isn't there! I did try to make sure my next few photos were of better quality though. If you can't already tell, I've even placed sheets of A4 paper in the backdrop in an attempt to brighten up the pictures (I won't lie, it felt like a fantastic idea at the time) but natural light didn't seem to want to cooperate today.... probably because it knows I'm procrastinating.

So here's the story behind the haul. My mum made me promise that I wouldn't buy any more cosmetics unless I was running low on something essential which made sense because vanity was getting a bit out of hand. Then just last week I recieved an invitation from one of my best friends who works at L'Oreal to attend a Prestige Cosmetics sale. I gave the invitation to my mum instead figuring that she'd make much better use of it then I would.

And of course, she came home with a bag, no, a sack full of Lancome and Biotherm products that afternoon (well now I know where I get my hoarding from) as well as a few YSL gifts for me. As much as I would've liked to accompany you at that sale - Thankyou so much mum (:
