The Jacket

As much as I love leopard print, its not often that I come across leopard spotted outerwear that didn't make me look like the crazy cat lady (although, we all know that deep down I really am...) but there's not much that I can fault about Shilla's Mirage Animal Pattern Biker Jacket. In fact, I adored it so much that it even lead me to break one of my golden rules - to steer clear of jeggings.

The Sunglasses

There's nothing that hides a sore eye better than a pair of reflector sunglasses. Not too long after these photos were taken did I suffer from a large swollen eye infection so I thank these shades for protecting me from the dirt and dust from the howling winds on Sydney on this sunny afternoon! The High Waisted Friends 

These high waisted jeggings were a cheap buy on a cold day from Glassons after the fateful moment when my accessories became prisoner to my stockings and broke free by laddering it up to the thighs. The jeggings were a quick rescue on the day and they proved to be a pretty alright companion today.

Somewhere on a deserted rooftop earlier this week, the sun was setting on another great cape escape.

It may be one of those things that guys will just never understand (like genie pants and jelly flats) but there is just something about capes that I love. A good cape can change the structure of your upper body and if you're someone that is a bit broader around the shoulders like me, they're the perfect disguise!

The Outfit 
I've been totally obsessed with cropped halters and fedoras but wearing them in this weather would be like inviting a cold over for dinner... every night... for about 2 weeks...and I'm just not prepared for that! The Bag 
I've got way too many big bulky bags and not enough casual bags like this Givenchy Pandora Bag in black. I picked up this gorgeous thing from Reebonz on Sunday at their Sydney Concept store on George St - it was also available in grey, maroon and navy but black was definitely my first pick.

I love popping by the Reebonz store, it's the one stop shop for my favourite designer labels under one roof - Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Celine, Hermes and Chanel just to name a few. It's also the only store that I know of selling genuine pre-loved designer bags. If you're ever in the CBD you should definitely pop by!

You know what I hate? Going to the beach wearing a cute bandeau only to have to constantly check that it hasn't slipped off during the splash around. I'm in love with my VLabel London Bond Dress which can either sit on the shoulders or be worn off the shoulders depending on your preference.

As a vertically challenged gal, I've found my loophole into pulling off midi and maxi dresses without a hitch and its all in the art of the dress split. Showing a little bit of leg can add length and shape to a dress that would otherwise swallow you up which is why the Bond Dress was perfect for me!

Today are three of my favourite "right now" things combined: reflector sunglasses, lighting/cracked print and metallic detailing.

Cracked/lightning print has taken social media by a snowstorm so it wasn't going to be long before I got swept away too. This print adds an edge to the usually neutral black and white and is the perfect contrast with fitted outerwear and boots. Click here to shop the range. 

I've always been a black blazer kind of gal, if I had a blazer colour option then black would win all the time... until I saw the gold trim blazer. The Outfit 

Adding pops of colour to an outfit gives it a new form of life. Wish's Mineral top added another element (excuse the pun) to a once neglected jacket and skirt. Unfortunately this time around for my Wish x Honda City post, the sun only came out during the last few shots of the set so I've let the top do most of the talking instead of the setting. 

The Bag 

If you follow me on Instagram you can probably tell that I'm a Saint Laurent hoarder. Despite the dropping of the Yves, I can't get enough of the classic YSL logo and the classic clutch is always going to be on my favourites list!
