The Eternal Love Lace Playsuit by St Frock has definitely captured my heart. I'm in love with the sweet lacework, the fitted top and flared shorts and sleeves. It's perfectly shaped to give you the illusion of a smaller waist and strong shoulders. I could wear this alllll day ;)

It's amazing how something as delicate as lace can create a shape as sultry and powerful as this Premiere Lace Gown. The elegant high neck and black underskirt draped in luxurious lace gives you a feminine (and almost mermaid-esque) silhouette which brought an unexpected vintage feel to this shoot... that I absolutely love. I think its safe to say, this is probably my favourite shoot so far.

And if you've got one too many black numbers at home, this dress also comes in white and dusty pink.

Runaway Wildcard

December has been a whirlwind, my brain is numb and sometimes I just want my outfit to do all the thinking for me - twin sets are perfect for that. I can let the present me relax in a matching top and skit and future adventurous me can mix and match a little later when I've got time on my side.

Halter necks and midi skirts have also been my most worn styles this season so I've found plenty of uses for my Runaway Wild Card Twin Set. What has been your most worn items this December?

It's a stinking hot weekend in Sydney! Which unfortunately means my normal black-on-black won't do me any favours in the heat. So from one extreme to the other, it was time to bring out the white-on-white, as much as I love the look of white on white, its definitely something hard for me to pull off which means I've got to be extremely selective about the length, cut and drape on any white on white outfit.

Since I'm currently obsessed with culottes and crossover backs, the Pina Colada Jumpsuit by Dead Ivy ticked all the boxes! With a waistband to slim the hips and halter to complement my Cosmo Blazer, I slipped on my headphones and was ready for the day ;)

Here's a weird fact about me: I'm obsessed with real life murder mysteries (especially the unsolved kind!), my favourite TV series is Hannibal and I could spend an entire day watching back-to-back crime documentaries and feel content with my day. Now, as much as I enjoy these activities, it has also lead me to believe that empty car parks are a hot spot for kidnapping and late night crimes... sooooo I may have not been that excited about the late afternoon shoot in an empty carpark, but I promise I'm excited about the clothes I'm in!

I did a bit of St Frock mix and match this week with the Falling Crop in White and the Chance Twist Front Skirt (also comes in other colours!)

Walk Over Dress

The struggle between long hair and temperamental wind is real.

A lot of pear-shaped ladies (like myself) often try to steer clear of white dresses whether they be free-flowing or form fitting. My tip for drawing the attention away from problem areas when wearing white would be to pick something with a high neck to balance out the body and possibly bell sleeves like this Elliatt Lace Walk Over Dress to draw attention away from the hips and towards "lengthened" arms.

Farewell Long Weekend!

The long weekend has just flown right by and I'm hoping this balloon will take me back to my happy place. It's been such a long time since I've had a decent time to unwind, catch up with friends and family and just let my hair down. The past 6-7 months have really shown me how much I haven't been looking after myself physically and emotionally and it's time that I tell myself that sometimes its okay to have a bit of me time.

Today's shoot was quick, unplanned and impromptu but completely representative of how I finally feel, FREE.

A new chapter of my life has begun and I can gladly say, I'm ready!!!

The Cassandra and Ellery

It's finally warming up in Sydney, HOORAH!! Time to bring out the lace kimonos, mini scuba bodices, skorts and strap sandals!!

Today's hump day outfit flows in order of head-to-toe as beach-to-street. I've been dying to take the Cassandra Lace Cape out for some sun but while the weather is still in-between I've given the TRIANGL bikini a miss and replaced it with it's best friend, the scuba bodice in the form of the Ellery Top by one of my new favourite labels, Black by Geng.

Following from that is a pair of white skorts similar to what you may have seen me wear a few times last season except I've replaced cotton for a leather look. The Leather Look Skorts by Glue Store is my favourite side-step from the traditional skirt because of my pear-shaped body. When you're wider around the hips, it can be a challenge to find a leather skirt with the right fit because many of them are non-stretch. These Glue Store shorts are the perfect fit for the legs with strategic front panels to suit my body shape, it's one of the many little tricks up my sleeve for Spring! What do you think of the Leather Look skorts and all the upcoming new season styles that have been dropping in Glue Stores lately? Yes? No? Would love to hear your thoughts!

And last but not least, the shoes. A rule of thumb many women follow is that the shoes and skirt must be a darker colour than the rest of your outfit in order for things to match but I beg to differ. If your outfit has a feature colour (similar to a feature wall in a room) you should complement it with feature accessories so these Camille Shoes by Wanted Shoes were the perfect cherry on top for me this week! Bring back the strap sandals for Spring I say!!!

Falling Fast

Hey guys! I'm here yet again with another twin set by St Frock. For those of you who thought that the print on print from the last outfit was a bit too out there, I'd suggest starting with the basics - white on white. White on white is a surefire combo and it never disappoints (if you can avoid food stains that is). It also makes it a lot easier to mix and match and the plus side of buying it online is that you know your garment is going to be brand new and free of dreaded makeup stains from in-store customers trying it on - one of my biggest pet peeves when buying white garments!!

On a different note, I really miss the days when I had more time to interact with my visitors. I used to have a Formspring account which allowed anybody to ask me a question (anonymously or not) and I would go through as much as I could before hopping into bed each night. I get questions sent to my inbox about topics ranging from bags and clothes to work and study and since I always get asked similar questions, I'm once again, I'm back on Formspring (now known as Spring) so click here to ask away!

This West Coast Twin Set by St Frock + this weekend's sunshine = my pretend vacation. I've just caught a bad case of the travel bug and I'm itching to go on a tropical vacation but its a crucial time at work so with my schedule jam packed I'll just have to wait.

For those of you who don't know, I've recently started a new job working in fashion which is just the learning curve I've been waiting for! It was hard to say goodbye to friends that became almost like my second family at my previous job but I figured it was now or never for me to pursue my real passion.

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to shoot with the ridiculously gorgeous and talented Alexandra Agoston the morning after she walked the David Jones catwalk and I can't wait to share more with you! I'll be able to give you a sneak peek closer to October and share exciting news :)

It's here! The mother of all blazers! The one up from the trench coat! The Blazer Dress *love heart eyes*

One thing that I love is convience. I love sporks, I love brunch, so naturally, I love the blazer dress (or Drazer/Dracket/whichever name you prefer). It's something that can be unzipped and worn to the office then zipped up and taken out to dinner. St Frock currently have this gorgeous Charlie Blazer Dress in black and white and the little voice inside of me is saying "If its nice, buy it twice!"...must...resist...

Snow Leopard

A snow leopard was on the loose last week in the infamous blogger alleyway of Surry Hills! Except, instead of snow, a black and white filter had to suffice.

The past few months have been a whirlwind and I admit its been a while since I've done any physical shopping (or I guess anything physical for that matter..) so I may be behind on the news but Glue Stores now stock Cameo The Label amongst many other amazing auslabels! Hear that sound? It's the sound of my jaw dropping. I should really lurk my local stores more often.

In other news, recently I've had some comments about my blog material and how its changed over the past few years. Although I do agree that this blog has evolved from a place of personal thoughts and life reminiscence to beauty reviews and outfit posts, it has never been my intention to not share meaningful material.

I guess the more attention I started giving to fashion, the more I realised how ridiculously unaffordable most of my wishlist would aways be which made me realise that the point of difference I could offer was promoting things that were affordable and easily attainable for the every day girl, just like me!

I may have steered away from sharing my life milestones and personal experiences but as I've mentioned in my responses, I will do my best to bring that spark back ;) lately I've been spending more time looking for outdoor locations and trying to improve my photography rather than spending time giving my blog posts more depth but I'll do my best to give a bit of love to both - I would never blog at the expense of my readers and love hearing all your honest and candid feedback :)
