So this weekend I strategically spent an afternoon brunching away in this boxy Basic Instinct Tee to accommodate some extra room for my first ever cronut....first and definitely not last. I can't believe I've been missing out on those amazing thin layers of pastry for so long! HOOK IT TO MY VEINS!

Anyway, I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. Christmas decorations are lining up the streets, everybody is in a Secret Santa frenzy and I'm spending majority of my weekend leisure time looking at gift wrapping ideas on Pinterest.

And with the year coming towards a wrap, its always been an Anniepop tradition to do a "Year in Review" post to highlight achievements, memories and aspirations for the year to come. However, I've got one more milestone I'm trying to tick off my list by next week so until then, we'll meet again with my 2014 in a nutshell - what a riiiiide it has been!

If you're anything like me, you'll know that the struggles of a vertically challenged girl in love with midi dresses is real. I would pick a midi dress over a mini dress any day but the only thing that stops me is the length of the dress vs the length of my body.

Different girls wear their midis in different ways, I like wearing mine just pass the knees but I've seen midi dresses look flawless on girls that prefer it just before the knee starts. I've purchased a lot of midis online and much to my dismay... they cut off only a palm's length away from my ankle.. I'm telling you, the struggle is real!! So when I saw this Puzzled Primrose Strapless Dress for the first time, I prepared myself for disappointment...when I tried the dress on, it was instant love heart eyes!

White On White

White on white is known to be a photoworthy combo but is it really practical? Well my general rule is, as long as the top is thick enough to be rain proof and the pants are tailored and can be easily bleached at times of emergency, then you're fairly safe.

As for accessories, I generally prefer silver to be paired with blacks and greys and save my golds and rose golds for the white and other neutral ensembles. Today I slipped on my neverfail gold bangles by The Peach Box which seems to be going with everything lately.

In other news, I'm so excited to see my tram ads finally installed! If you're in the Melbourne CBD any time within the next 3 months, keep an eye out for my artwork on the trams of Melbourne for COOPER ST and Myer ;) definitely something I can tick off my bucket list!!

I love laidback weekends when I can just let the outfit do all the talking (its also about time I add some colour back into my wardrobe!). This gorgeous marble print is the perfect way to break up a loose fitting T-shirt dress or tunic and it kind of reminds me of the day when everyone was rocking the marbled nails - a gentle reminder of how fast time flies.

Had some white on white action this week with the help of geometric mesh and a great pair of matching top and bottoms. It also turns out that I'm starting to become a big fan of pants (although the pants off Friday rule still applies). I've been loving cigarette shaped trousers/pants and how it looks with a basic pair of mules or strap sandals.

The Jacket

As much as I love leopard print, its not often that I come across leopard spotted outerwear that didn't make me look like the crazy cat lady (although, we all know that deep down I really am...) but there's not much that I can fault about Shilla's Mirage Animal Pattern Biker Jacket. In fact, I adored it so much that it even lead me to break one of my golden rules - to steer clear of jeggings.

The Sunglasses

There's nothing that hides a sore eye better than a pair of reflector sunglasses. Not too long after these photos were taken did I suffer from a large swollen eye infection so I thank these shades for protecting me from the dirt and dust from the howling winds on Sydney on this sunny afternoon! The High Waisted Friends 

These high waisted jeggings were a cheap buy on a cold day from Glassons after the fateful moment when my accessories became prisoner to my stockings and broke free by laddering it up to the thighs. The jeggings were a quick rescue on the day and they proved to be a pretty alright companion today.

The Bag
