Where has the year gone? I can't believe that this may already be my last post for the year. In 6 days I will be on a plane on my way to another great American haul and I'm starting to feel jittery inside!

-Highlights of 2013-
There are so many things I can think of off the top of my head when I look at this year in review - finally launching the Bellagio website, having our first Sydney Launch Party, upgrading to Anniepop 2.0...my cat! Haha

But the value that this year has really taught me, was that of family. My usual week includes working 9 to 5 (and sometimes even longer) on weekdays and blogging on weekends which means I can really only visit my parents once or twice a week. Every day this year I've looked forward to talking to my parents over the phone just to hear about their day-to-day which I really took for granted before when I was always at home with not much to do. We've been through a lot of scares and strife this year, the family situation has changed and I really admire the strength that my parents continue to show through the life adjustments that we have to make. These experiences have allowed us to become greater friends and I only hope to be a better daughter as the years go on.

With  that said, the love of family and admiration of friends is the best gift anyone could ask for! I wish everybody a Christmas and New Year full of laughter, good company and new memories and I will see you mid January when I get back. Have a safe holiday all!

Apologies for my brief absence. Like most of you probably are, I've also been inundated with end of year prep at work and at home. There have been Christmas celebrations and promotions left, right and centre and I'll be flying off to one of my favourite places in the world - the US of A in about 2 weeks time which is getting me pretty giddy!

My two favourite prints from the latest Shilla collection include the oasis floral and the refraction floral, so I guess you can say that my floral obsession is starting to creep back!

I had a lot of fun spinning around in the dress on a large open field but unfortunately I couldn't keep my eyes open in the sun so we unexpectedly ended up in an abandoned shed for most of our photo set. The contrast between the backdrop and the oasis floral print definitely made my job easier and most importantly... it was oh so comfortable! :)

Houndstooth & Trophy Wife

Getting all rugged up in a thick warm coat is probably the next best thing to curling up by a fireplace or getting tucked into bed. So I owe many thanks to Sheinside for keeping me warm and Shoeenvy for keeping me comfortable on my toes this weekend!

In other news, on the weekend I may be a blogger but during the weekday I'm the Creative Director for a jewellery company called Bellagio & Co. There was so much anticipation (and many nerves for me!) leading up to the Bellagio & Co Sydney Launch Party 2 weeks ago and we were able to successfully showcase our collection of jewellery to a great company of guests with the help of Sensi Wines, YourScene Photobooth, Acrobats from the Sydney Interactive Theatre, Performances by The Invincible Group, DJ Housekeeper and Randall Evans Videography.

Stylight in Green

Christmas is the perfect excuse to wear green on the hips and red on the lips ;) 

Recently the weather has been blazing hot during the day and freezing cold at night so I may have to opt for something long sleeved for the night celebrations coming up. This green dress has always been something that I like to slip on because of its stretchy fabric (more allowance space for chow downs) and its not-too-short-not-too-long midi length.

Chicnova Stripes

After my drop over to chilly Melbourne last week it felt so good to spend a sunny striped Sunday back in Sydney! This was an almost impromptu photo set snapped up within 10 minutes before a lovely day out by the night noodle markets.

 Ever since I started taking pictures outdoors, my weekend blog hobby doubled as a day out at places and views of Sydney that I never really had time to enjoy before - I guess I could get used to this!

I feel very fortunate to be selected to be a part of this year's style campaign run by the Australian brand we all know and love, Wish. Today's outfit showcases one of the many gorgeous dresses as part of Wish's Spring/Summer Collection and its absolutely perfect for all the end of year functions that are fast approaching. The reason why the Bombshell Dress in Coral was my pick is because of the strategic black lining and colour blocking that gives you the bodycon shape without being uncomfortably form fitting. If you're somebody that is conscious about looking pear shaped (which I am!) then this dress is perfect for you and give you the shape you need to enjoy your festivities.

If you don't have many accessories, this dress already did much of the talking on its own so I kept it minimal and added just a touch of rose gold thanks to Najo.

As much as I love neutrals and safe hues , I did miss having some nice brights in my closet! I may have also broken a new record by wearing my first ever teacup dress since about 1996....but I think I could get used to it again :)

Shilla Summer October Range

Scarily enough, during this short photo session, a fire had been set off at a nearby carpark which engulfed about 40 cars in the parking lot and cut our day short. We were lucky to not be within the vicinity of the accident but its definitely scary to know what the sweltering heat can do!

Although I didn't end up with many photos with this incredible dress by Shilla, I am definitely grateful we were safe and out of harm's way.

And seeing as the heat has been creeping its way into our daylight savings, I thought it was only fitting to start sharing posts featuring dresses for the Summer. With all the celebratory occasions ahead I'll be making sure I keep an eye out for "the dress" and the "the back-up". This one is definitely going in "the dress" pile ;)
