Thanks to my internal clock I now have ridiculously early and uneventful mornings on the weekend. My friends aren't replying on whatsapp, its still not my turn on Words With Friends and I've already painted my nails a new shade of pink. But instead of wasting my mornings I'm pushing to blog at least once a week to prove to myself that I still have the time of day to have a bit of "me" time....because, you know, "me" time is usually spent alone with your camera on timer haha

My first week of working at E-Web Marketing seems like it just flew right by and although there has been a lot to learn, I couldn't be happier! BRW you were right on the mark with this one - the people, the culture and our facilities have all treated me so well and I can tell that this has been the first week of many, many, many weeks to come (:

Along with my first week of work, this week will be my first week back to uni so the workload is going to pile up from here and although I haven't had time to revamp my entire popshop I have been able to make a new post with brand NEW and new and never worn before accessories!

Happy Birthday!

On Tuesday I surprised the boyfriend with a hand made Domo card (which I'm quite proud of! Haha), birthday gifts and a dinner reservation at Quay. After stressful weeks of shopping, I ended up getting him the Louis Vuitton Boston Glazed Calf Leather Reversible Belt in black and silver and the Burberry Grainy Leather iPad case in Black - two practical things that he'll hopefully make a lot of use from!

Although the weather didn't go as planned, everything else did. We were seated facing the Harbour Bridge, the service was fantastic and dinner at Quay couldn't have been better. The quail, pig jowl and the famous apple and guava snow egg were absolutely mouthwatering!

New beginnings

I've been so immersed in work and blogging for Jade & Belle that I started to forget about my own blog :( but I'm determined to change things! During the past few weeks of my blogosphere absence I've been in the process of gathering pre-loved as well as NEW things to revive my anniepopshop which I aim to revamp before the end of next week, it has been tedious but exciting and I hope you enjoy what's to come!

Life has been a rollercoaster ride as of late. The first exciting change for me was *drumroll*...finally getting a new car! My old car took months to fix after the accident and once it returned home it was no longer in tip top condition :( so I set myself out to look for the perfect convertible and I finally found it in the 350z, we have been absolutely inseparable!

the second big turn-around this month would be that I have decided to leave Jade & Belle. Although I was able to build myself a great portfolio while I was there, I have been given an offer that I couldn't refuse. Starting from the 25th I will be stepping out in my new corporate shoes as the Marketing Account Manager at E-web Marketing! E-web ranks 2nd right under Google in BRW's Best Places To Work in Australia and I am over the moon to be a part of the team :)...I'm also over the moon that there seems to be sales all around during my week in limbo haha

and to top the week off I've booked tickets for the boyf and I to watch the last instalment of Harry Potter tonight, I've been jittery all day!

It's been a busy week, I've started training at my new job and every spare moment I've had I've spent it hunting for faux fur. The perfect way to avoid the snuggie but still keep warm and toasty haha

and after the chain of events from my old laptop failing last week. Over the weekend the boyfriend gave me a no occasion gift, a new and functioning 15.5" laptop - I'm swooning! (:

And I can't wait to see him this afternoon to surprise him with my very own no occasion gift to him ;)

High and low

"Where there's sweet, there must always be bitter" - exactly my week in a nutshell. I've finally finished my assessments, had time to organise my vanity and I'm blogging today with both exciting and devastating news (well, devastating and exciting for me haha)

I've had to bare with a rinky dinky laptop for a while now and come Wednesday night, the night before my assignment is due, it decides to crash and I grudged through the night to try and re-write what was lost and drove to class the next morning without sleep.

That afternoon, without realizing I fell asleep at the wheel and woke up upon colliding with a truck. The front of my car was crumpled, I've only injured my knee but at the time, it wasn't as painful as watching my car get towed away. Now I'm without a vehicle for the next month with damages to pay for and a reminder on my knee that I'm definitely not superwoman.

With that aside, I'm okay and I do have great news to share!

Throughout highschool and through each semester at Uni I've been well aware of where my interests lie - in fashion, accessories and beauty - interests that seem to not agree with my degree. But I've been able to get the best of both worlds at my Fashion HR internship with Who in The Zoo and now, I've finally been given an offer that I can't refuse.

Starting in two weeks time, I will be the new Online Manager and Marketing Assistant for Jade & Belle

It's almost like the stars had aligned, just in the nick of time! After a devastating blow, at least I know it'll only get better from here and I'm excited for whats to come :)

Birthday thanks

I don't usually blog about the happenings of the weekend but this passing Saturday Fiona and I celebrated our birthday, it was the coming of a milestone age that should probably be worth a mention. Like most 21st birthdays, a bit too many photos were taken to share but a moment that I would like to have on my blog for keepsake from the night would have to be the surprise speeches.

Thank you for all of those who came, thank you to David Tran and Tash for being the DJs of the night, thank you to Fi for the cake, thank you to Amelia, Tammy, Wendy, Winnie, Tabitha and my boyfriend for the speeches and thank you so incredibly much to my amazing boyfriend for surprising me by singing my favourite Buble song. It was definitely the sweetest thing anybody has ever done for me, it was a beautiful surprise and I was a blubbering mess by the end of it (as you can see). I am so grateful and I love you so, so much.

As the date grew closer the stress of organising the party definitely dawned on me. I would like to give an honorable mention to those that helped me keep my sanity and a dishonorable mention to the boyfriend for stating that I'm scientifically proven to be twice as stressed as the average person in his speech...for that I have to announce that you purposely picked a purple striped top so we could 'subtly' match on Saturday haha.

You are amazing, all of you ♥

Arty Oval

Thank you Saks for delivering the Arty Oval earlier than anticipated, it's been so long since I've recieved a package...and it still feels like Christmas every time! The arty oval was released in two new colours and I ended up pre-ordering the green. My heart is still yearning for the Lapis though so let's see how long it will be before I give in to YSL, again.
